We were asked to change things up from the usual cadence of twice-yearly seasonal brand shoots and instead, capture a library full of season-agnostic imagery that could be used throughout the year. The shoot also needed to support the new wine product category that was being launched later that year.
I concepted and directed a 3-day shoot road tripping down the Northern California coast in a vintage Jeep. Prior to setting out, I collaborated with product and marketing teams to generate a detailed photo plan and shot list that covered all business needs for the season and gave structure to the shoot. I also worked closely with production to guide casting, location selection, and wardrobe choices to match the approved mood boards for each scene. Once on set, I ensured that product and talent looked good, scenarios were on-brand and authentic, and that everything we came home with aligned with current and future business goals. Post-shoot, I was responsible for making selects and directing all post-production efforts.
The road trip concept afforded us a wide variety of backdrops to shoot against, and we came home with a library of images that told a rich narrative of Hydro Flask as your everyday sidekick.
